Radio was one of the first major forms of electronic entertainment. People used to gather around the radio to learn about current events, hear the news, listen to entertainment shows, and of course, to hear their favorite musicians of the day. While radio may have taken a back seat to television and computers in this day and age, broadcast radio still remains a key form of communication. On National Radio Day communities are urged to strengthen the radio ecosystem.
