Freedom of speech and the press are important privileges of life in the United States that citizens hold dear. During Free Speech Week, awareness is raised about these rights that everyone shares, and this non-partisan, non-ideological event is intended to be a unifying celebration. Schools, businesses and especially press outlets can get involved in the event in many ways by sharing opinions and information.
Free Speech Week (FSW) takes place during the third full week of October annually
